Everyone knows that Diego is absolutely, head over heals, in love with trains. He loves to cross the rail road crossings, and gets so happy when he sees the trains. I found out about this place on MomsOutLoud.com, they have a list of inexpensive activities you can do with your kids. So for the last month or so I have been planning to surprise Diego with a train ride, but we have been so busy lately we never got around to it. Finally, this LONG weekend was our perfect opportunity. We went to Forest Park Miniature Railroad in Fort Worth It was so much fun, and the trains were so cute. The ride consisted of a 5 mile trip over Trinity Park, Trinity River Creek, and Duck Park. Diego had a blast! He was truly speechless! Even Dylan, Daddy, and Grandpa enjoyed the ride. The Forest Park Train Depot is right next to the Ft Worth Zoo also, so you can make it a whole outing for the kids. Since my little kids and Big kid AKA Daddy, don't do so well in the heat, we decided the train was good enough for the day.
Diego was very excited all morning. I don’t think he really understood what we were going to do today. As soon as he saw the train he was SOOO happy.
Dylan was mesmerized. It sure does beat the view from his carseat.
So what’s next on the agenda during this LONG weekend? WATERPARK! Stay tuned, don’t touch that dial.
