No Picture Necessary

Monday, May 30, 2011

You would think this late in the game the hubby and I should have everything kid related figured out. Yeah, so not the case. Let me tell you a little story, and fortunately for you I have no picture to go along with this story. Yesterday we decided to spend the day at the waterpark. When we made it home, the husband gave the boys a bath. He got them out, dried them up, and did not put a diaper on Dylan, which sometimes he does let Dylan walk around naked. So we are in our bedroom with Diego trying to convince him he needed underwear when Dylan walks in. "Dada, Dada, gwoss" and he is holding out his little hand and he has something brown all over it. We had chocolate donuts out on the table so at first I thought he had gotten into the donuts. So the husband grabs him and looks at his hand and smells the brown stuff, and at the same time I realize he has the same brown stuff running down his leg. Someone yells and I don't remember who said it, It could have been Diego "its poop!". So we run around the house like crazy looking for diapers and wipes and a towel, and to clean up the poop he left on the carpet. Any outsider would definitely think we were NEW parents as crazy and chaotic as the situation. The point of this story is, always have your non potty trained two year old in a diaper.

Change is Coming

Friday, May 27, 2011

My baby boy is growing up so fast and I can’t stop it! Although he is only two years old, my baby runs around like he is a four year old like his big brother. I guess following Diego around all day influences his demeanor. I decided this summer we will start potty training my baby boy. I think he is ready. He does so many big boy things now, I think he can handle potty training. Still as much of a big boy he THINKS he is, he is still my baby and I ‘am still kind of reluctant.

For those of you who don’t know, Dylan is quite  the serious one and a bit shy. It takes ALOT of time and maybe some bribing before he warms up to you. At home and with people he feels comfortable with, he is a big silly clown. _MG_1644copy

Dylan is not one for group pictures, as you can tell by these couple of photos. He is so camera shy._MG_1639 _MG_1640  _MG_1642copy _MG_1641copy2

Once you break through the wall, he will love you forever. I guess he is a lot like me.

Oh how I love those big brown eyes and curly hair. He has yet to get a haircut, but each day his hair has been getting messier and longer and I’ am tempted to take him for his first trim._MG_1632 _MG_1624

Stay tuned, for future  potty training photo ops and disasters from this adorable and wild dude!

Vieanna

My cousin welcomed her 5th baby girl Vieanna Marcela into the world a few weeks ago, and I had the opportunity to photograph her a few days later. She is such a sweet baby, and lucky for me she slept the whole time.

I Heart Faces- Motherhood

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

This is a picture of my friend and her baby girl Vella Rue. This is my favorite picture! You see, Vella Rue was not a very happy camper that day, so Mom took a little break and was just loving on her and trying to soothe her. I started to snap my camera and I loved the outcome!

Diegoisms

Saturday, May 7, 2011

Before I had kids I used to hope I would not be that annoying Mom that talked about their kids all day long and the cute and not so cute things they do. Now I understand what those Moms felt. I want to always remember the silly things Diego says.

#1

Me: Diego, it’s almost my birthday.

Diego: It is??

Me: Yes, what are you getting me?

Diego: Do you like dinosaurs?

Me: Is this gift for ME or for YOU?

Diego: Umm, for me.

#2

Me: We caught the bad man Diego.

Diego: They got Batman?!!

The night we heard of Osama’s death, Diego was watching the news with me, and I was trying to explain to him what was going on.

#3

Diego: Can you buy Dylan a dinosaur, so I don’t have to share mine.

#4

Diego: I know all about dinosaurs Mom. I ‘am  a scientist.

#5

Diego: Your so pretty Mom.

Me: Thank you baby, your such a sweet-

Diego: PRETTY UGLY!!!

This is mostly my fault, since I taught him that joke.

Swoon

Isn’t my baby boy the cutest little thing you have ever seen? I love my rebellious, curly haired dude more and more. My baby boy is in a hurry to be a BIG BOY like his big brother, and I’ am not so happy about that. For now I will just enjoy my baby boy all I can. Good thing he still likes to snuggle, and needs me to kiss his war wounds._MG_1437copy2 _MG_1436copy2
