I Heart Faces

Monday, February 21, 2011

It has been a while since I have entered a photo to I Heart Faces. This weeks theme is Cell phone, which was a piece of cake considering my cell phone is my go to camera most of the time. This picture is of my baby boy and his insane amount of dinosaurs. He is totally obsessed with dinosaurs. I didn't have time to get out my big camera, I didn't want to miss him in his element.

I edited this photo with Instagram for Iphone. I love Instagram!

Joy of Love Day 2

Day 2: How They Look
Dylan has  ridiculously beautiful curls. In the morning he has a bad case of bed head. He also is my child that is always dirty. Never fails, he is just a messy kid.

Doesn't Diego just look so pitiful with those...

but a minute later he all of a sudden okay.

I took these pictures in the boys playroom, curtains open, and the boys facing the window. No flash, all natural light on manual.

I decided to participate in Willette Designs Joy of  Love free 28 day class a few months ago and I have been anxiously waiting to start of the new year. I love all of Willette Designs  photography/classes/tutorials/templates. Since I'am a trying to take this little hobby of mine to the next level I thought It would be awesome to get a daily email assignment as well as a little lesson in photography. If you are interested check out Willette Designs for all the class info.

Day 1: What they do

Diego LOVES to play with his dinosaurs. He loves dinosaurs books, dinosaurs shows, and knows the name of his dinosaurs.

My Almost 4 year Old

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Three and a half years ago today, my first baby boy was born and brought me so much happiness. I really can't believe how fast time has gone. Pretty soon I will be sending him off to kindergarten. In the mean time, I will love and cherish every moment I have of my toddler.

I'am totally loving Diego at this age. He is becoming more and more independent, strong, intelligent, genuinely sweet boy. He is such a sponge and soaks up all this information that he randomly spits outs at any moment. He can be a little smarty pants at times, but it's annoyingly cute.

He loves to tell jokes that do not make any sense, and laughs uncontrollably as he slaps his forehead. He loves to laugh and play with his cousins.

He refuses to go to school, and says he doesn't need more friends.

He questions everything.
He loves his baby brother, and has finally started calling him by his name 50% of the time instead of "Baby". Diego knows his numbers and alphabet, and even speaks a little Spanish.

Diego's Favorite Things:
Dinosaurs- he LOVEs dinosaurs. He always has, but lately it's to the extreme. He loves to watch Dino Dan on Nick Jr. He can tell you names of dinosaurs and if they are carnivores or herbivores. He enjoys sitting down with his dinosaurs figurines and dinosaur book and finish his "projec".
Cars
Books
Batman and Robin- a new little obsession
Taking pictures with his camera
Drawing/painting
Playgrounds
Diego loves music and loves to dance, he always has.

Favorite Shows:
Of course all the usuals: Ni Hao, Max and Ruby, Dora and Diego, etc. He also love The Flinstones, The Jetsons, Johnny Quest. He is OBSESSED with Scooby Doo, Batman, and Dino Dan.

Favorite Food:
He is my picky eater, I'am lucky if I can get him to eat. He loves pizza, pastas, chicken nuggets, fries, fruits, sandwiches, peanuts, peanutbutter, crackers, corn dogs.

Favorite Color:
Blue

He can be a little stubborn. He is also is a little obsessive compulsive when it comes to getting dirty, he wants to change his clothes right away.

Mommy loves you little man! Thanks for the entertainment these three and a half years, and the best is yet to come.

Spring in Winter

The weather was awesome this weekend and we took full advantage of it. We headed to our downtown square for a little photo session with my niece and nephew. Diego and Dylan loved being able to run, jump, and play downtown. Our square is so eclectic, from the DJ and his equipment on the courthouse lawn, to protesters on one corner, musicians on another, and couples and families everywhere. Everyone was out to enjoy the weather. We also made a pit stop at Beth Marie's for some peppermint ice cream.

I was able to capture a few images with both of the boys together
