Dog Days of Summer
Tuesday, August 9, 2011
Before we were experiencing triple-digit heat, the boys and I were spending some quiet evenings outside. I can't believe we complained about the heat in the early summer days. The last few weeks we have been stuck in doors trying to find ways to entertain ourselves.

Happy Meals and Dinosaurs
Thursday, September 24, 2009
This past weekend was my off weekend, so of course I had some activities planned for us. Friday night we also had our play date/mom gossip fest/dad man time. Unfortunately I do not have any pics due to a certain uncooperative, tantrum throwing toddler. It was a fun night, and I can’t wait for our Halloween Party playdate.
Saturday we met Aunt Amy and cousin Madison and cousin Andrew at Diego’s favorite spot, McDonalds. Diego enjoys any restaurant that has a playground, so we sat outside and let them run off the caffeine.
Sunday we made the two hour drive from our house to Glen Rose, Texas and visited Dinosaur World. Glen Rose is such a sweet little old town with a cute old school town square. I heard about Dinosaur World from this cool site, it was part of their 25 Free Things To Do With the Kids This Summer. Even though grumpy very inpatient daddy complained about the drive, we had so much fun. Dinosaurs are another obsession Diego has, so I wanted to take him so he can see the 150 life size dinosaurs. I will admit he was kind of scared of the dinosaurs, he stayed in his wagon most of the time, but he did enjoy himself, especially the fossil dig. It was really cool, take it from someone who loved Jurassic Park, and as lame as this sounds I even read the Jurassic Park book. ONLY because it was part of my high school Biology reading requirements. Dinosaur World is pretty much Jurassic Park minus REAL dinosaurs that are trying to kill you.
Can you really blame Diego for being a little scared, it looks like the T-Rex is about to eat them. Those are some huge feet they have.

Wanna Play?
So my girls and I finally got together for our “playdate”. We gossiped and laughed and ate, and well the kids had fun too.
