Hello 2014

Sunday, January 26, 2014

Hello All! It’s been a long while since I have updated the blog. That is my one goal this year is to update my blog more. The older the boys get and the busier we are with nightly homework and reading, the harder it is to take a break and upload images. I promise I will try my best to stay on top of it in 2014. This year I decided to take my photography journey back to where I started, which is documenting our little life. So, I will be doing a project 52 with My Four Hens, one picture a week for an entire year. Here are my first few weeks, minus one that I accidentally didn’t save or accidentally deleted.

Oh Brother

A brother is a friend given by Nature. ~Jean Baptiste Legouve

Yes, sometimes my boys get really dirty, and I let them stay in pj's all day if they want. Yet I still take a picture of them, because they are always beautiful and perfect to me.

No Picture Necessary

Monday, May 30, 2011

You would think this late in the game the hubby and I should have everything kid related figured out. Yeah, so not the case. Let me tell you a little story, and fortunately for you I have no picture to go along with this story. Yesterday we decided to spend the day at the waterpark. When we made it home, the husband gave the boys a bath. He got them out, dried them up, and did not put a diaper on Dylan, which sometimes he does let Dylan walk around naked. So we are in our bedroom with Diego trying to convince him he needed underwear when Dylan walks in. "Dada, Dada, gwoss" and he is holding out his little hand and he has something brown all over it. We had chocolate donuts out on the table so at first I thought he had gotten into the donuts. So the husband grabs him and looks at his hand and smells the brown stuff, and at the same time I realize he has the same brown stuff running down his leg. Someone yells and I don't remember who said it, It could have been Diego "its poop!". So we run around the house like crazy looking for diapers and wipes and a towel, and to clean up the poop he left on the carpet. Any outsider would definitely think we were NEW parents as crazy and chaotic as the situation. The point of this story is, always have your non potty trained two year old in a diaper.

B is for Boy

Monday, March 21, 2011

I took an extra day off today, and we headed to the park for a little picnic. It was a bit windy, so we decided to sit on a table instead of our blanket. There was no way these boys would eat anything with the playground in their view. So we packed up our lunch and headed to the playground. These boys love being outdoors, playing  in dirt,  and to run around like wild animals. I just follow them around with my camera. I always take an insane amount of pictures, but never can I get them to cooperate long enough to take one together. Oh well, I’ll take what I can get.

Dylan is Two!

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Dear Dylan,

How exciting you are finally TWO!  I hate that you are no longer my little baby I brought home. I’am excited to see you grow and learn more this next year. You are such a big boy now and you need me less each day.  You bring so much joy to your Mommy and Daddy! We love you so much!

You are such a sweet, beautiful boy. You have the most endearing smile and I can’t get enough of it. I love it when I tell you I love you and you now reply “i wuv you toooo”. I enjoy snuggling in bed with you and watching your favorite cartoons together.

Everyday you learn new words and expressions. My favorites so far is when you apologize in that high pitched voice of yours. You say “ i sawee Mama, i sawee”, how can anyone be mad at you after that.

I love you to the moon and back Little Man!

Love Mommy!

Happy Valentines Day!

Saturday, March 5, 2011

I know this post is a little late…

This year we decided to have a little Valentines playdate/mommy time. As I mentioned before our little group consists of some of my high school friends and their kids. The kids get along great, which is a plus since we have arranged their marriages to each other. I kid, I kid! The kids had a blast playing and exchanging valentines cards, decorating mini heart shaped cakes, and eating all sorts of yummy candy. Of course, the Mom’s had a wonderful time chit chatting about everything and anything.
